"Evey Child a Reader" Update

Our 3rd, 4th and 5th class pupils have been busy taking part in exciting, hands-on workshops as part of the Every Child a Reader Programme.

Led by our Champion of Reading, Elizabeth Rose Murray (E.R. Murray), the sessions have encouraged pupils to work together, share ideas, create characters and develop stories in a fun and imaginative way.

During the workshops, pupils will follow a creative process—sharing ideas, designing and developing characters, working collaboratively, and presenting their finished work to the class.

The workshops, delivered by Children’s Books Ireland, help to promote a love of reading through storytelling, artistic expression and engagement with books and characters.

With 2 out of 5 workshops completed, we are already looking forward to the next sessions and seeing what our pupils create next.
